Books cleanup & finance support
Strengthening the books after a migration
Better organised books, explicit recipient mapping and live status for statement delivery, and continued help with accounting questions and day-to-day practices.

- The starting point
- Following its migration to Zoho Books, PadCare engaged Blume Labs to review and improve the consistency of its accounting records.
- What we did
- Reviewed historical entries and addressed inconsistencies in Zoho Books, built a Python account statement delivery tool, and continued to support the finance team.
- The outcome
- Better organised books, explicit recipient mapping and live status for statement delivery, and continued help with accounting questions and day-to-day practices.
Hands-on cleanup and accounting guidance
Working closely with the finance team, we reviewed historical entries, addressed data inconsistencies, and brought greater structure to the books. The engagement combined hands-on cleanup with accounting guidance, helping the team work through records that required clarification and correction.
Customer account statement delivery
We also built a custom statement delivery tool for a customer base of approximately 2,400. To give the team explicit control over recipients, the tool used an Excel sheet mapping customer numbers to email addresses, rather than relying on the contact details already held in the customer master.
Built in Python using the Zoho Books API, it sent customer account statements to the mapped recipients and provided live sending status. The statement delivery tool was a separate piece of work from the underlying books cleanup.
Continued support
Our support continues beyond the cleanup: we help the finance team resolve accounting and system questions, work through practical scenarios, and adopt better practices in their day-to-day work.
The outcome
The work left PadCare’s books better organised and in a stronger position for ongoing finance operations, with continued guidance available to the team.
